Travis Graduated..... Again!

Well Travis has graduated again! This time it was from the Marine Corp Bootcamp! I am very proud of him. He has turned into a young man. Donovan, Ali, Elisabeth (Ali's friend) and I flew out to San Diego on Tuesday the 9th. My mom and my sister joined us out there on the next day. After they got into town we all drove up to Los Angeles, Hollywood, Beverly Hills. It was interesting, but I will never go again. On Thursday the MCRD (Marine Corp Recruit Depot) had family day on the base. We watched Travis take off for his 4 mile run in the morning (the first time we have seen him in 13 weeks) then about 12:30 he had on base liberty until 5:00pm. On Friday the 12th we headed back to MCRD at 7:00am for the graduation ceremony at 10:00am. We got to catch the colors ceremony first, it was neat. The graduation ceremony was over by 11:30am and Travis was free to leave the base!! We saw his friend Jared that went to bootcamp with him at graduation. Jared hurt his leg in week 3 of training and has been in Medical ever since. He will be able to resume training in mid March. Friday after graduation we messed around San Diego some and went shopping (Travis was ready for civilain clothes). Saturday mom and Kim flew back to Fort Worth. We did more shopping and more site seeing in San Diego. While we were there we were able to see the beaches on Ocean Beach, Mission Bay, and Coronado Island, they were all beautiful. On Sunday we caught a plane back to Texas. Travis was very excited to be back in Weatherford! We are all very proud of him! He gets to stay home for a week and maybe a littler longer, we should know in the next day or two, then he has to head back to Camp Pendleton in San Diego for 3 more weeks of combat training. Then he will be in Pensacola Fl for school.

I just wanted to show off my son walking across the stage! I am proud can you tell? Yes he does have a black eye. That is what happens when you are 18, mouthy and stupid! Haha

I know the picture of me and Ali is horrible! Kenny Chesney came to Frisco for two concerts. The first one had two bands sing before him. It started raining about 10 minutes after we got there. We stood in the rain for about four hours! Kenny started singing and about 45 minutes after he started he called the concert off due to lightning. He rescheduled and came back two weeks later. Yes, we were at both concerts, remember this is Ali's future husband so we had to go to both (haha)!! The horrible picture is from the first concert after about three hours in the, drizzling to pouring rain. The second concert was sunny and awesome!

Sorry it has been forever since I have been on here. So much has been going on. The big news is Travis has graduated from high school!!! I am so proud of him, but I am also sad, cause that just means that I am getting old. He has decided to join the Marines. Yes I am not too excited about this, the Marines...., but he does not know that I am very proud of him! The Marines are just scary to a mom. We do not have an exact date of when he leaves for boot camp, but we believe it will be sometime in October.

Ali is now a junior in high school and she thinks she is number one there!! She started driving in January, yes it is little scary. I took her in May to see her future husband perform (haha)! Kenny Chesney is awesome in concert!! She is ready to go back next year. She is passing this summer by hanging out with friends and working at McAlester's deli.

Donovan and I are the same. All we do is work nothing too exciting!!

Friday night was homecoming here in Weatherford! Ali was beautiful, and Travis was handsome! Clareana came with us, of course she had her own mum. She is just adorable. All of my other girls were pretty too. I will get pictures up soon. I have to have Ali help me with that!!

We lost after about three or four overtimes!! Maybe next time.

Weekend

We had friends over this weekend for a cook out. Then we took about 10 of Ali's friends to the Pythian Home's Haunted House. You would not believe how stupid 15 year old girls can act when it comes to FAKE monsters........

The Pythian Home is an orphanage there in Weatherford, so most of the actors were all ages of kids, and the girls were still scared! Our friends had a 6 year old boy that did better than they did. We had fun though!

Football!

I went to the varsity football game tonight. I took Clareana with me, she had a blast. The most important thing to her was to go say hi to the kangaroo! The highlight of her night was when the kangaroo blew her a kiss. Good news is we won, YEAH!!!!!

Found out my cousin, John, and his wife Stephanie are expecting their third child in May. Congratulations!

New at This.......

We are Donovan, Aimee, Travis and Ali from Weatherford Texas! Let me start by telling you something about each of us......

Donovan is a plumber at a hospital in downtown Fort Worth. He was born and raised in Weatherford. He graduated Weatherford High in 1989. He likes his job, it is much easier than what he was use to. He worked outside construction for most of his life. Now he has the luxury of working inside. He loves to ride his motorcycle!

I work at a small company in Fort Worth, I collect money and sit in front of a computer all day. I was born and raised in Fort Worth. I moved to Weatherford in 1998. My job is good the best part is the hours, I am home before the kids get home. My number one hobby is my kids.
We met in 1995, we were friends, dated, lived together and then married in 1999. We have two beautiful kids! It is sad to say that right now our lives do not consist of luxury vacations and all that, our lives revolve around our kids, we have fun though.

Travis is 17 and a SENIOR at Weatherford High School. I cannot believe it. He played soccer up until this year he decided that going to school at 9:00 and getting out a 1:00 was more important than playing soccer. He is a great kid and I cannot wait to find out what awaits him after school. He spends most of his time working. He is currently employed at a local pawn shop. The rest of his time he spends with his girlfriend.

Ali is 15 and a sophmore at Weatherford High School. I do feel old since both of my babies are in High School now! She will be getting her license in January 2009. She is so excited, me not so much! She spends all of her time with her friends and her boyfriend. She is the one that keeps us the busiest. Every weekend our house is the hang out house. I can have anywhere from 3-20 kids at our house at any given time between 4:00 Friday to 6:00 Sunday. It gets a little busy, but we all love it!!

So.... if you need somewhere to go on the weekend come see us. If we are not home we will probably be doing local activities, football games, rodeo, etc... come and join us!
